GRANTOR: Sonoma County, California, USA 

OPPORTUNITY: The County of Sonoma announced its opening of the Phase II Cannabis Equity Application and POSHHEAD responded by submitting a narrative. Key points from the narrative included our Operational Plans.

• Short-term: Launching a commercial transport and distribution service, and hosting monthly markets to build relationships with the local community.

• Mid-term: Sustaining their distribution services and opening a 1010-square-foot flagship retail store aligned with Sonoma County’s Tourism goals.

• Long-term: Launching a manufacturing division to produce a proprietary infused Alfajor cookie - just in time for the 2026 Holiday season.

STRATEGY: Our narrative also outlined how the Cannabis Equity Funds would be used if awarded.

• Financial: Covering costs for permits, licenses, renting a secure facility for cannabis goods, security equipment, and insurance.

• Administrative/Technical: Paying for professional services such as legal assistance, accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and consultants for local permitting and state licensing processes.

• Outreach & Education: Hosting and sponsoring community events and listening sessions to engage with residents and guests of Sonoma County.

CONTRACT AWARD AMOUNT: To be determined. Proposed Budget: A detailed two-part budget was provided, totaling $98,820.00 and $70,500.00 respectively. The budget is allocated across the four categories: Financial, Administrative/Technical, Outreach & Education, and Business Acumen.
